Susan Lewis

Director of Nursing

An RGN with more than 30 years’ experience working within a variety of healthcare settings, Susan specialised in neurosurgery nursing for 18 years. She is experienced in the assessment of nursing and care, reporting on care needs including aids and equipment of those who have had a personal injury caused by an accident at home, work, after a road accident – or following medical or nursing negligence. She also advises on the loss of service of a family member. Since 2003, Susan has provided reports in the specialist field of liability in the nursing and healthcare service areas. She is experienced in providing claimant, defendant and SJE reports on a 40:30:30 basis. She has completed the Bond Solon certificated course for nurse experts and is a member of The Royal College of Nursing.

Carol Peel

Lead Nurse

Carol is a Registered General Nurse and Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with 33 years’ experience within both hospital and community and settings. Experience includes general nursing, neurosurgical, infectious diseases, dermatology, training and development and education.

Carol’s current role is Lead Nurse for Adult Complex Care at AMG Nursing and Care Services for the Stone, Burton and Chesterfield branches. Carol’s role entails supporting the branches to deliver on complex care packages by completing nursing and risk assessments, formulating care plans and overseeing training and competency assessment for staff delivering care on complex packages. Carol’s role also includes supporting the nursing team with clinical supervision and the NMC revalidation process.

Gemma Sheen

Lead Nurse

An RGN with more than 29 years’ experience working within a variety of healthcare settings, Gemma brings with her a wealth of experience.
Gemma’s previous experience includes a number of years in general nursing, 10 years in Intensive Care, 5 years on a Recovery Ward and 4 years in Endoscopy
In 2011 Gemma joined AMG’s Complex Care Team as a Competency Nurse training carers working on complex care packages.
In 2014 Gemma was promoted to Lead Nurse at AMG Nursing and Care Services and is currently Lead Nurse for Adult Complex Care for our Chester, Wrexham and West Midlands & Shropshire branches.
Within this role Gemma supports branches to set up complex care packages by carrying out nursing and risk assessments, formulating care plans and overseeing training and competency assessment for staff delivering care on complex packages.
She also provides nursing and healthcare liability reports for AMG Consultancy and is a member of The Royal College of Nursing

Tracey Connor

Lead Nurse

A nurse for over 20 years Tracey brings a wealth of experience from the NHS in both hospital settings and in the community.Tracey started working for AMG in 2010 as a Care Consultant preparing nursing medico legal reports for the court, a position she continues to do today. Along with that role, in 2011 Tracey started to support the Complex Care Team to support local branches to set up complex care packages, by delivering training and support. Tracey was promoted to Lead Nurse in 2013 to oversee the nursing team.

Sheree Taylor

Adult Nurse

I qualified as an RN in 1981 working in adult surgery and Rheumatology , changed direction in 1986 to Paediatrics and completed the RSCN training. caring for children with long term care conditions such as Cystic fibrosis, diabetes, SMA, during acute exacerbation of their conditions, also worked on paediatric HDU/PICU.
in 2001 moved to community team supporting long term conditions with complex needs, requiring ventilation via tracheotomy.
Continued to maintain adult skills within agency setting until 2012.
Moved to UAE work in adult/paediatric facility for long term complex care and ventilated clients until 2015.

Cath Hulse

Complex Support Nurse

As the youngest and most qualified nurse within the AMG team Catherine is a highly motivated qualified Adult Nurse.
Catherine has a passion for Orthopaedic Nursing and has 2 years worth of experience from a Trauma & Orthopaedic setting, looking after acutely ill patients with multiple fractures including spinal injuries .
This aids Catherine's role at AMG as a Part time Complex Care Support nurse for our Chester, Wrexham, West Midlands & Shropshire branches. Within her role she undertakes duties such as; Providing training, support and competency's for care staff who work with complex care clients.
Catherine joined AMG in 2015 where she will continue her development and hopes to complete her Masters in Nursing in the near future. Catherine still regularly work within an acute trust setting to enhance her skills and knowledge.
