The Paediatric Service – complex care.

AMG are a leader in providing compassionate quality care for children that is reliable and delivered by a professional, experienced and dedicated complex care team.

Every child’s care needs are different and therefore every complex care package is unique. AMG pride themselves on the flexibility of their care arrangements which are designed around the individual requirements of the child and family.

From the outset an experienced Registered Sick Children’s Nurse will be appointed to manage the child’s package of care from a clinical perspective. She will arrange to visit the child and family, at their convenience, and carry out a detailed assessment in order to pan and negotiate care with the child and family.

Following this, detailed care plans and risk assessments will be produced and sent to the family and Commissioner (if requested), for approval before care is commenced.

The Case Manager will identify the training needs of the client and report this information back to the Branch Manager. Appropriate careers will be identified, and meets and greets and a training time table will be arranged at the families’ convenience.

Once training has been completed and careers have reached our sign off level of competency, care can commence.

Our Case managers will liaise with the family on a monthly basis, and will cascade any relevant information to the professionals involved in the child’s care. She will also attend any necessary multidisciplinary meetings upon negotiation with the family and commissioners.
